Antti Pitkänen

Antti Pitkänen, our Managing Director, has helped various companies across Europe to take advantage from design in their organization. His work experience ranges from building temporary architecture such as stands and exhibitions to product design project management and strategy consulting in the leading Finnish strategic design consultancy. This enables him to add value to our clients in a variety of ways, from designing events to defining design guidelines to creating methodologies companies need to succeed in design.

A true cosmopolitan by birth and upbringing, Antti is an efficient networker with a wide range of contacts and experience. He holds a BA in industrial design from University of Central England as well as a Master's degree in industrial design and International Design Business Management (IDBM) from Helsinki University of Art and Design. He speaks fluent Spanish, Finnish and English.

Lotta Hassi

Lotta Hassi, our Research Advisor, studies sustainability related innovations. She is one of the main reasons Seos can combine research with practical, hands-on approach. Besides working in various concept design, design, and research projects for various clients during and after her studies, she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in sustainability driven value creation at Helsinki University of Technology's BIT research center. The results of her research combined with our daily work.

Lotta has a M.Sc. in economics and IDBM. She has also taken part at the interdisciplinary Stanford University product development course in USA, and has good contacts with the leading researchers in Finland and abroad.

Pekka Kumpula

Pekka Kumpula, one of our Creative Directors, brings to our clients his experiences with one of the fathers of modern industrial design - Mario Bellini. As a former senior designer in Bellini's design team in Milan, together with his experience with the Catalan maestro Joseph Llusca in Barcelona, Pekka has experience from a wide range of design projects in various fields of industrial design, product development, and project management. During last ten years, he has worked with over fifty international clients, including leading companies in their fields. When working as a freelancer in Finland, his clients included such companies as Hartwall, Nokia, Polar and Valio.

Fluent in Finnish, English, Italian and Spanish, Pekka has a Master's degree in industrial design and International Design Business Management (IDBM) from Helsinki University of Art and Design. His studies also included a one-year interdisciplinary product development course at Stanford University, USA.

Teemu Vaarakallio

Teemu Vaarakallio, another of our Creative Directors, is an interior architect and industrial designer with ten years of work experience from leading Finnish advertising and image building agencies. Teemu benefits our clients by having a strong experience in creating brands and identities through design. His work has emphasized corporate identity in office and commercial space designs. The interior concept designs for various shops, restaurants and hotels Teemu has either created or has helped to create have been used throughout Finland, the Baltics and in Russia. Before returning to study for his MA degree, he was one of the founders of Mongrel, a design collective named by Page magazine in 2002 as one of the 15 most innovative design agencies in Europe.

Teemu has a BA in interior architecture from Lahti Polytechnic and is currently finalizing his Master's degree in industrial design and International Design Business Management (IDBM) from Helsinki University of Art and Design. His studies have also taken him to a one-year interdisciplinary product development course at Stanford University, USA.

Janne Korhonen

Janne Korhonen, Seos's technologist and Project Manager, looks at the strategic opportunities in technology and business. Before joining Seos, Janne had worked since high school as a freelance journalist and has gathered work experience ranging from peacekeeper to managing director of Finland's largest academic recruiting event to Finpro's technology commercialization consultant at CERN.

Janne has a M.Sc. (Tech) from Helsinki University of Technology and IDBM, after having studied manufacturing engineering and business strategy.
